Biography
Jah Nyah Sound System has been around for ten years or so and is based in the quiet town of Redhill, Surrey. It has been a labour of love for original founder Rick, ‘Roots’, who built the speaker boxes by himself.

Roots was based in Brighton previously and was a resident at the Roots Garden, one of the countries longest running roots reggae venues. He is also a session musician and is part of the UK Players band. It was through links with the Salisbury based section of this band that he met Simeon. Now residing in London, Simeon has been wearing his record collector anorak for some time. He has spent five years with Iration Steppas crew learning the runnins and set up his own studio in Jan 2006. Both members are selectors, each with an un-healthy amount of tunes, eager to bust them out for everyone’s enjoyment.

For the past five years the two have combined, working and building up the sound, to attain quality sound, covering all ranges with clarity, depth and tone. With two double 15” boxes currently being built and a custom pre-amp near completion the people will soon hear and know the sounds of Jah Nyah.
